Cape Coral, January 6th 2013

We planned on starting to Miami at 8:30 am but it took us until 9:15 to finally head out. In our luggage we had some sandwiches and we were happy to have them on our way. When we came to the entrance to Miami on the highway we noticed what we hadn't known before. There were a whole lot of people going towards Miami to see the highschool football game Alabama vs. Notre Dame in the evening. Red hats and jerseys everywhere. There were definetely more Alabama fans. We had to look for a parking space for about an hour. People told us we could park on the parking lot of a school but we would have to wait until somebody comes who charged us, so we waited a little. But when nobody was here after 20 minutes we decided to  look for another parking spot. Because of the Tickets for the Duck Tours we had Rick called at the Ticket office and asked for the best place to park to be close there. They told us right across the street would be a parking garage. So we went there and finally got out of the car.

As soon as we left the parking garage everybody agreed to be hungry. We decided to go to Ocean Drive and find a nice restaurant there. We had italian food and it wasn't really special. After that we went down to the beach and the guys even went into the water for a while. Unfortunately we hadn't so much time because our Duck Tour started in about half an hour. So we just thought we would come back afterwards.

We didn't find the start point for the tour immediately but we were at the pick up right on time. The tour last about one and a half hour and we saw houses of Steffi Graf and  Andrew Agassi, Hulk Hogan (now Hulk Hogan's ex wife :D) and Puff Daddy (P.Diddy, Sean John Combs...)

Afterwards we just wanted to walk along Collins Avenue and watch the life in Miami but our old people wanted to go home soon so we had only half an hour.

On the way back we had dinner at Chilis. I love Chili's but i've never seen such a dirty restaurant. Somewhere in Cape Coral unfortunately i can't remember the exact adress. But I can say nasty silverware not like from the dishwasher really really fitlhy. So we returned it but not even the silverware. Ashley's wineglass still had lipstick from the woman who used it before on it. We returned everything and had to wait for a whole while until they brought us new silverware so the food was cold until we were able to start to eat.
